Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz formally accepted the Democratic nomination for vice president last night.
In his acceptance speech, Walz highlighted his achievements as governor, including expanding abortion access in his state, while touting the Democratic Party as the party of freedom.
Unlike previous speakers, Walz made few direct mentions of Donald Trump, apart from trying to tie his policies to the Heritage Foundation’s project 2025, which Trump has repeatedly rejected.
Kamala Harris will give her speech tonight to cap off the convention.
