Fallout continues from Tuesday’s debate between former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris. Trump now confirms he will not debate Harris again.
Posting on Truth Social yesterday, Trump said there will be “NO THIRD DEBATE” – referring to his debate against President Joe Biden as the first and this week’s against Harris as the second.
In his post, Trump claimed he won his debate against Harris, saying there’s no need for a rematch. Trump’s statement comes as his allies have been encouraging him to take the stage with Harris a second time, with some suggesting earlier in the week that he was still open to the idea.
Trump’s announcement seems to be influenced by new internal polling showing he received a two-point bump following the debate, while Harris’ numbers remained the same. Harris, meanwhile, believes she and Trump “owe it to the voters to have another debate.”
