Donald Trump moved a step closer to clinching the Republican presidential nomination last night.
The former president led 55% to former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley’s 43% in the New Hampshire primary. Trump has now tied Richard Nixon’s record of winning the primary three times.
For her part, Haley says she isn’t going anywhere. She says she feels confident about the upcoming South Carolina primary on Feb. 24. Her optimistic tone drew sharp mockery from Trump.
On the other side of the aisle, President JOE Biden saw a massive, albeit symbolic, win in the Granite state – taking home 85% of the vote thanks to a write-in campaign. However, no delegates were won, as the DNC has decided to make South Carolina the party’s first official primary state, replacing New Hampshire.
