Trump holds first weekend rally in Las Vegas post-conviction

Former President Donald Trump drew a massive crowd in Las Vegas yesterday – his first rally since his conviction in New York.

Trump is currently leading President Joe Biden by over five points in Nevada, despite losing the battleground state in the last two elections. To further advance his lead, Trump appealed to Las Vegas’ massive service industry by vowing to make tips tax-free.

Trump also raised the issue of immigration – a winning issue for the former president and a leading concern for voters along with the economy.

Last week, President Biden announced new asylum restrictions between ports of entry at the southern border in hopes of curbing illegal immigration before the election. Trump slammed the policy during yesterday’s speech, calling it “weak” and “ineffective.”
