Trump honors anniversary of 13 servicemembers killed in Afghanistan pullout

Former President Donald Trump yesterday honored the 13 US service members who died in a terrorist attack during the Afghanistan pullout three years ago this week, laying wreaths in their honor at Arlington National Cemetery.

Speaking before the National Guard Association later in the day, Trump said everyone in charge of the disastrous pullout should be fired, including President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.

Neither Biden nor Harris were in attendance at the Arlington Ceremony, as they weren’t invited by the families, according to White House spokesman John Kirby. Both of them released separate statements honoring the fallen, with Biden calling them “patriots in the highest sense.”
