Trump says he will not take witness stand in New York fraud trial

Former President Donald Trump says he will not retake the witness stand in the New York civil fraud case against him.

Trump has been adamant he would be back in the New York court but abruptly reversed course on Sunday. He wrote on Truth Social that he had nothing more to add to his earlier testimony.

Several key witnesses in the financial real estate have testified that Trump is innocent of the charges. Trump stated, “The only fraud committed was by the highly partisan and out of control judge and racist Attorney General.”

Judge Arthur Engoron ruled against the former president before the trial began. He’s now considering six other charges.

Trump was supposed to be in the New York court today. Instead, defense witness and financial fraud professor Eli Bartov will continue to testify through tomorrow.
