It was a good weekend for Donald Trump. The former President doubled his delegate count with a series of election victories – winning the Idaho GOP caucus by over 70 points on Saturday.
That same day he also saw blowout victories in Missouri and Michigan. Trump’s only loss came the following day, when former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley won the Republican primary in DC – marking his first defeat this primary cycle.
Despite the loss, Trump still holds a commanding lead over Haley heading into Super Tuesday, with 244 delegates compared to Haley’s 43. Trump held a rally in North Carolina on Saturday – one of the 15 states holding elections tomorrow.
Should Trump sweep tomorrow’s elections, he could clinch the Republican nomination by as early as March 12 – when GOP voters Georgia, Hawaii, Mississippi, and Washington head to the polls.
