Trump says he’ll make Elon Musk head of government efficiency commission if elected

It looks like Elon Musk could be part of the Trump administration should the former president win in November. Yesterday, Donald Trump announced he plans to make the Tesla CEO the head of a new Government Efficiency Commission.

Trump said the idea came from Musk. He told Trump during an interview last month, “I think it would be great to just have a government efficiency commission that takes a look at these things and just ensures that the taxpayers’ hard-earned money is spent in a good way.”

Trump says the commission’s first order of business would be cracking down on fraud.

Musk posted on X saying the commission is “badly needed” and said in a separate post that he looks “forward to serving America if the opportunity arises.”
