2 victims recovered from Baltimore bridge collapse

Officials say they have retrieved the bodies of two construction workers who were killed in Wednesday’s accident in Baltimore.

Four other workers are still missing and presumed dead after a cargo ship slammed into one of the bridge’s pillars moments after reporting a loss of power. The ship was carrying 4,700 containers more than 50 of which contained hazardous materials.

Federal safety officials are still investigating what went wrong. They say the information retrieved from the ship’s “black box” recorder data is “consistent with a power outage,” but that an actual failure had yet to be confirmed.
