U.S. Commerce Department blacklists NSO Group over spyware hacking allegations

The U.S. recently placed NSO Group on the Entity List which restricts the company’s ability to use American tech. In a release, the Commerce Department explained that their reason for blacklisting the group was because of evidence showing that the tools from them helped foreign governments “maliciously target” people and “conduct transnational repression.”
