U.S. halts ammo supply to Israel, Netanyahu vows to continue operation

Israel is vocalizing its frustration with the U.S. after American leaders put a hold on a new shipment of ammunition.

This marks the first weapons shipment for Israel that was stopped since the October 7 attack. The abrupt cancellation of this weapons shipment was not explained. However, President Joe Biden has been increasingly critical of Israel’s planned ground offensive in Rafah as he faces pressure at home – such as with the college campus protests.

But despite the move, Israel is set on its plan to go into Rafah and fully eliminate Hamas. During a speech on Israel’s Holocaust Remembrance Day, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu affirmed that “Israel will stand alone” if it must.
