U.S. heatwave fends off December cold while breaking multiple state records

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, or NOAA, released a chart showing that most of the southern U.S. will likely experience above average temperatures in December. The Midwest and parts of the west coast and northeast may also be experiencing warmer temperatures than in a normal year.
