The U.S. military killed an Iraqi Hezbollah commander yesterday.
Central Command said in a late-night press release that American forces conducted a targeted strike in Iraq in response to the Jordan attack that killed three U.S. troops. The American strike killed the Kata’ib Hezbollah commander responsible for planning and participating in those attacks.
CENTCOM reported zero civilian casualties and did not name the commander. U.S. officials say more strikes will happen in the coming days and possibly weeks.
