Today marks the 23rd anniversary of 9/11. President Joe Biden announced yesterday that September 11th will now be called “Patriot Day and the National Day of Service and Remembrance” in honor of the 2001 terror attack victims.

Biden urged all governors and the American public to join him in today’s observance. In New York this morning, the Biden-Harris administration and the 2024 Trump/Vance team gathered at the 9/11 memorial. Harris and Trump were seen exchanging a few words and shaking hands in a moment of solidarity.

Lastly, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said in a speech at the Pentagon that while it seems like more and more people are forgetting about 9/11, the DOD will always remember.

The Pentagon is the last standing building that survived Al Qaeda’s horrific attack.
