US airman dies after setting himself ablaze protesting Gaza war

An active-duty airman by the name of Aaron Bushnell is dead after setting himself on fire outside the Israeli Embassy in D.C. He was protesting what he called the “genocide” in Gaza.

Bushnell shouted “free Palestine” as he lit himself ablaze. Afterward, he was taken to a hospital where he later died from his injuries. No one else was hurt.

Shockingly, the incident isn’t the first of its kind. On Dec. 1, a woman wrapped in a Palestinian flag set herself on fire outside the Israeli Consulate in Atlanta in what police described as an “extreme political protest.”
