US Border: Migrant train heading north, Tucson sector overrun, 2023 FY encounters highest in history

by ian

A train carrying hundreds of migrants has been spotted heading toward the US border. It’s only the latest of dozens of similar trains that have brought thousands of illegal immigrants northward into the United States.

Meanwhile, the Tucson border sector is seeing a sharp rise in migrants, causing them to halt social media activity until further notice. This sparked immediate outrage from journalists demanding transparency. Chief Patrol Agent John R. Modlin took to X to clarify that “all available personnel are needed to address the unprecedented flow.”

This comes as new CBP data released over the weekend revealed that 2023 officially marks the highest year of illegal immigration encounters.

Over the past 12 months alone, border patrol recorded a staggering 3.2 million migrant encounters, not including another potential million-plus of gotaways – which is more than all four years of the Trump administration combined.
