During a much-anticipated interview on CNN, vice presidential candidate Tim Walz was asked to clarify his military record, to which he responded that he’s only human and that his 40-year public record speaks for itself.
When CNN’s Dana Bash pressed him on his falsely claimed combat experience, Walz said his “grammar is not always correct.”
Walz has received much flack for embellishing his National Guard status after information came forward that he retired from the military right before his unit deployed to Iraq in 2024. That’s when Walz chose to go into politics instead.
Overall, Walz’s interview lasted no longer than 10 minutes with the majority of questions going to Vice President Harris instead.
