Western leaders gathered in Kyiv on Saturday to mark the second anniversary of Russia’s invasion. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy welcomed their visit.

Guests included Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.

President Joe Biden attended a video conference with fellow G7 leaders where they reaffirmed their support for Ukraine. At the same time, Senate Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) came in person and stressed the need for continued U.S. funding.

Yesterday, Zelenskyy called on US lawmakers to approve Biden’s now-stalled $60 billion aid request for Ukraine, saying that “millions will be killed” without it.
