White House: Israel agrees to daily 4-hour pauses in conflict

by ian

There appears to be confusion over a humanitarian pause in Gaza.

Yesterday, the White House said Israel had agreed to a daily four-hour ceasefire that would be announced a few hours in advance. But Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has yet to confirm that these pauses will happen daily and says they will be limited to certain sectors of Gaza.

This comes as President Joe Biden is pushing a three-day long pause with the hope of pursuing hostage negotiations during that time. However, the White House still rejects the possibility of an outright ceasefire against Hamas.
