WWII veterans flock to Normandy for 80th anniversary of D-Day

World War II veterans are flocking to Normandy this week to honor the 80th anniversary of the D-Day invasion that was pivotal in the Allied victory over the Nazis. Veterans from the US, Britain, and Canada began arriving over the weekend, many of them over 100 years old.

The official anniversary takes place tomorrow. Leaders from around the world will attend, including German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and President Joe Biden.
