Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is making the most of his time in the U.S. as he seeks to renew support for his war-torn nation.
The Ukrainian leader believes the war could be closer to an end than most people realize.
During an appearance on ABC News, he touched briefly on his Victory Plan, saying that he needs Western allies to strengthen Ukraine. He called it a “bridge to a diplomatic way out.” Russia responded that the war will only end when it has achieved its goals.
Zelenskyy is scheduled to meet with President Joe Biden tomorrow to present a detailed version of his proposal. He is also expected to push the U.S. president to loosen restrictions on how Ukraine can use American weapons.
